For over twenty-three years attorney Jeffrey W. Jensen has provided representation to persons who will face felony charges. Attorney Jensen has defended in excess of three hundred criminal jury trials and he has handled in excess of one hundred
criminal appeals. He has argued before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals (7th Dist.), and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. With offices located in downtown Milwaukee, attorney Jensen appears in courts throughout the State. Having defended in excess of sixty homicide cases, attorney Jensen has been involved in many of Milwaukee's most high-profile cases including the recent trial of State v. Theodore Oswald (see "News and Resources"). Attorney Jensen's family law clients find that his extensive courtroom experience make him the ideal choice for all family-related legal problems.

Admitted to Practice: Wisconsin State Bar, May, 1985; United States District Court (ED-Wis) 1985; United States Court of Appeals (7th Cir) 1990; United States Supreme Court (2001).

Organizations: National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

Awards: 1997 Wisconsin State Public Defender Outstanding Achievement Award for the private bar.

Representative Cases:

1993 State v. James Earl Jackson (first degree intentional homicide) broadcast nationally on Court TV. Jackson was charged with killing his wife by chasing her in his automobile causing her to crash the car in which she was driving

2001 State v. James Multaler- Argued before the Wisconsin Supreme Court on a landmark issue of Fourth Amendment Law. Police detectives were investigating a string of stranglings of young women in the Milwaukee area during the 1970's. They obtained a search warrant to search Multaler's home based upon information which was, in some case, twenty years old.

2005 State v. Theodore Oswald- Theodore Oswald, along with his father, James Oswald, where charged with first degree intentional homicide and a number of bank robberies arising out of a 1994 crime spree. The case received unprecedented local media coverage and President Clinton commented on the case in a news conference he conducted regarding gun control.

2006 State v. Walter Missouri: An appellate case in which the Wisconsin Court of Appeals held that criminal defendants may present evidence of other bad acts by police officers.   The Missouri case was featured in an article in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel on September 9, 2007.
